When to invite a tenant

First, set your screening requirements and when you need additional protection for a lease.

For example, your requirements may include:

• Annual income of at least 40 times the monthly rent.
• A credit score above 700.

If an applicant does not meet your requirements, you can approve the application on a condition. Tell the applicant what additional support they need.

This support can include another leaseholder, a cosigner, or a Panda lease guarantee.

To invite an applicant to use Panda:

1. 1Review the rental application. Check it against your screening requirements.
2. 2Send a Panda invitation. Ask the applicant to apply for a lease guarantee.
3. 3Wait for Panda approval and payment. If Panda approves the application, the applicant pays for the bond. Panda then issues your coverage.

Use consistent screening requirements. Apply the same requirements to applicants in the same circumstances.
